What is the Atlanta Metro Export Challenge
The Atlanta Metro Export Challenge is a dynamic grant program designed to engage and challenge metro Atlanta companies to think about their international expansion and to encourage action. The objectives of the program are:
- To challenge companies to develop proactive export plans for their products and services
- To drive companies to action on those export plans
- To increase exposure and awareness for the impact of exports in metro Atlanta
The grant program is part of the Atlanta Metro Export Plan (Atlanta MEP), which launched in 2015, with the intent 1) to increase the number of metro Atlanta companies that sell internationally and 2) to increase the value of goods and services exported from metro Atlanta.
The program will provide reimbursement grants to eligible metro Atlanta companies for specific expenses related to growing their international business. Companies will be selected to receive grants based on the strength and completeness of applications. A late, weak, or incomplete application may be cause for disqualification of a company.
The grant program is made possible through the sponsorship of the JPMorgan Chase Foundation and additional support from the Metro Atlanta Chamber UPS, Johnson Controls, and Partnership Gwinnett.
